Storyline

Two visionary alchemists, driven by an unyielding passion for discovery, sought to create a world where people’s hearts could be filled with joy and contentment. Their relentless pursuit led them to develop the means to create homunculi – beings capable of surviving outside of a flask.

The alchemist’s groundbreaking research culminated in the creation of a homunculus that could enrich human lives. However, his trusted friend had an ulterior motive. Together, they hatched a scheme to use these powerful beings in war, a plan that would earn them riches and recognition from the king. The alchemist was appointed as the royal alchemist, but this achievement was short-lived.

The Betrayal

The alchemist confronted his friend, revealing his true intentions. His friend argued that using homunculi in war would reduce human casualties and expand their kingdom’s territory, thereby ensuring prosperity for its inhabitants.

The alchemist vehemently opposed this idea, pleading with the king to refrain from deploying the homunculi in combat. Despite his fervent argument, he was stripped of his position and banished from the royal city for his dissent. Crushed by disappointment and betrayal, he retreated to his hometown – a small, remote village where he attempted to rebuild his life in solitude.
